Contacting Groundspeak
Thank you for your interest in contacting Groundspeak, the company that owns and operates Geocaching.com! We receive thousands of emails each week, and as a small team, it can be difficult to respond to each and every email in a timely manner.
In an effort to provide the best customer service, we have outlined frequently asked questions by topic, providing links to additional resources for assistance. Please help us support you by first reviewing these additional resources.
General Geocaching.com Questions
We receive many questions related to getting started with geocaching and the geocaching.com web site. Does your question relate to any of the following topics?
If you do not find an answer to your question, you can also search for and/or post a question in the "Getting Started Forum" at the top of the Groundspeak Forums. The forums are an excellent resource for geocachers hoping to receive helpful community assistance and support.
Groundspeak Premium Memberships
Many questions regarding Premium Memberships (including Charter Memberships) can be answered on the Groundspeak Knowledgebase.
Groundspeak Subscriptions
If you have purchased a Premium Membership that is auto-renewing on any Groundspeak site, including Geocaching.com, Waymarking.com or Wherigo.com, and would like to cancel your subscription, please email contact@geocaching.com. A Groundspeak team member will deactivate your membership as quickly as possible after receiving notification.
PayPal Subscriptions
If you do not receive your subscription ID after you subscribe on PayPal, check your transaction history on PayPal. You will need to use the subscription number from PayPal to activate your account (starts with an "S-"). Enter the subscription number into the subscription page to activate your Groundspeak Premium Membership.
If you purchased a membership through PayPal that is auto-renewing and would like to cancel your subscription, you will need to cancel the subscription in your PayPal account directly. Instructions can be found here.

Retail Orders
For questions related to orders placed on Shop Groundspeak or to share a new idea for an item to sell, please email shop@groundspeak.com.
CafePress orders are handled through CafePress directly.
Trackables Items
Many questions regarding Trackables can be answered on the Groundspeak Knowledgebase. If you do not find an answer to your question, you can also search for and/or post a question in the "Geocaching Hitchhikers" section in the Groundspeak Forums.
Does your question relate to any of the following topics?
If you have misplaced your Travel Bug activation code, please email contact@geocaching.com with the tracking number of your trackable item and we will email the activation code to you.
If you have misplaced your Geocoin activation code, please email the company from which you purchased the geocoins for assistance.
Press Inquiries
If you need assistance in researching a story, conducting an interview or need to verify facts within an article, you can email pr@groundspeak.com. Please provide appropriate contact information and specify publication name and deadline. We will respond to your inquiry as quickly as possible.
Business Inquiries
If you are interested in advertising with us or have an idea for a promotion through Geocaching.com, please read the information on the Advertising with Groundspeak page. We can provide banner advertising or work with you to create a more comprehensive promotion that will engage the global geocaching community.
Land Managers
If you find an inappropriately placed geocache on your property, please notify us. Try to include the Geocache Name, Waypoint Name (GC****) or the URL to assist us in identifying the correct geocache.
If the Geocaching.com web site is contacted and informed that a geocache has been placed inappropriately, the geocache will be archived or disabled and the geocache owner will be contacted with any information provided by the individual or organization who contacted us.
