You can not judge
over the beauty of a valley without seeing it from the top. - So I thought placing
a cache on the top might be a good idea. The cache is hidden at the summit of
the "Reisskofel" (see pic 1). I didn't want to make this a multicache
because there are several ways up to it. I will describe the route that i like
best:
Parking place: N46 41.459 E13 14.819
Leave your car here and follow the way Nr 229 "Reisskofelweg" to the
left.

After 2 hours you should be at this location where you can have a break and
look at the beauty of the Gitschvally
Kleiner Reisskofel (Little Reisskofel): N46 41.238 E13 09.495
The secound summit on your tour but the first one with a summit cross. - Be
careful on your further way and fix your sticks on your backpack before leaving
the Little Reiskofel heading for the cache.
No fear: N46 41.220 E13 09.168
One of my favourite parts of the hike. You will understand the title once you
are there... ;-)
The cache: N46 41.149 E13 08.805
The cache is hidden about 2 meters down from the fixing point of the northern
steel rope in a rockhole. Be carefull when you look for the cache!!
WARNING: You should be able to go 1300 hm without
beeing totally exhausted because the last 45 min are dangerous if you are not
highly concentrated!!
The cache initially contained:
- Office - sign
- Graphics adapter
(If the view is not so good)
- A travellock
- Some parfum
(if you're smelling a bit ;-)
- A biro
