Geocache Description:

This cache was hidden during the Jazz Festival Saalfelden 2004 . It is an easy walk close to the festival area, there is no significant elevation change and the whole walk is less than 2 km.

Stage 1
N1 = N 47 25.483
E1 = E12 51.614
Start Your walk by taking the road into eastern direction. Count the street lamps on the (direct) way between stage 1 and stage 2.

Stage 2
N2 = N47 25.505
E2 = E12 51.754
This is a very crowded place during the Jazz Festival, then on the right side there is the stage and on the left side a big camping area is located (when looking eastwards). Let A be the number of street lamps You’ve counted.

Stage 3
N3 = N2 – 3*A + 1
E3 = E2 + 33*A - 2
Stop to have a look at a building typical for this area. Find out how old Thomas Pichler was when he died, and let this two-digit number be BC (i.e. first digit is B, second digit is C).

Stage4
N4 = N3 - (A+B) / 2
E4 = E3 + A*B*C + 12
At a crossing locate the number close to „Haus Eberhardt“. This number is D.

Stage 5
N5 = N4 + 3*D – A – B - 1
E5 = E4 - 2*D - B*C + 6
This is the cache location, the cache itself is a tupperware box. If You go for the cache during the last weekend of August, You probably have to take care of a specific species of muggles, the Jazz-muggles, which are basically harmless but tend to stay up all night.

Please, carefully hide the cache again.

Original contents: Incense sticks, Black Peter cards, Little Bell, Peace sticker, Ink pot, Lava stone, Postcard, 2 Indian Rupees, Che Guevara photo, Brazilian phone card, Coloured egg, Music cassette, Programme for Jazz Festival 2004.
