Single stage cache leading you to the not very well known ruin of
Castle Pernegg.
Einfacher Cache bei der wenig bekannten Ruine
Pernegg.
The Castle Pernegg was build in the 13th century.
Now there are only some walls and gates left.
There used to be two bridges to access the castle, but they are
both gone so you have to climb a little bit to enter.
(nothing dangerous as you can't fall down very deep, but that is
the reason for the rating of this cache)
To access the ruins you can park your car at the church in
Pernegg.
The quite steep and unfortunately unmarked path is starting right
behind it. (keep right)
Just follow it up to reach the entrance gate.
The cache is hidden at the very back of this ruins.
If you want to see even more old and forgotten stones (they are not
even marked in any of the maps I'm using) you can visit an other
ruin at:

My original plan was to include this place in the cache as well to
make it a multi, but as I could not find any way leading there and
the area is quite steep and covered with slippery foliage I changed
my mind.
The cache is a plastic box approximately 19cm x 13 cm x 8cm
in size.
Die Burg Pernegg wurde im 13. Jahrhundert
gebaut.
Heute stehen nur mehr einige Mauern und Torbögen.
Früher gab es zwei Brücken. Da diese heute fehlen muß man um zum
Cache zu gelangen ein wenig klettern.
(Nichts gefährliches, es geht nirgends weit hinunter)
Um zur Ruine zu gelangen parkt man am Besten bei der Kirche in
Pernegg.
Der teilweise recht steile und leider nicht markierte Weg beginnt
genau hinter der Kirche und führt von dort rechts hinauf.
Der Weg ist aber noch gut sichtbar und führt direkt zum Eingang der
Ruine.
Der Cache ist im hintersten Teil der Ruine versteckt.
Wenn man noch mehr alte und vergessene Steine sehen möchte kann man
eine weitere Ruine bei folgenden Koordinaten besuchen:
N 47° 21.602 E 15° 20.979
Ursprünglich wollte ich diese Ruine in den Cache mit
einbauen.
Da es aber dorthin keinen Weg mehr gibt und der Hügel sehr steil
und durch das Laub extrem rutschig ist mußte ich meinen Plan
ändern.
Der Cache ist eine Plastikbox mit ca:
