Ein Bergcache an der Rappenspitze im Karwendel. A Cache at the
Rappenspitz peak in the Karvendel mountains.
Die Rappenspitze ist ein attraktiver, aber nicht überlaufener Berg
im Karwendelgebirge oberhalb des Achensees. Vom 2223 m hohen Gipfel
hat man einen schönen Rundblick und sieht z.B. die Rofanspitze im
Osten, die Lamsenspitze im Süden und das Sonnjoch im Westen.
Als Ausgangspunkt eignet sich am besten der Parkplatz an der
Falzthurnalm bei N 47° 25.620 E 011° 39.000. Dorthin gelangt man
von der Ortschaft Pertisau über eine 3,5 km lange
gebührenpflichtige Forststraße (Stand 2008: PKW-Maut = 4,50 EUR,
Fahrradfahrer zahlen nichts). Wer die Maut sparen will, kann das
Auto an der Mautstelle am Ortsausgang von Pertisau abstellen und
dort auf das Mountainbike umsteigen.
Von der Falzthurnalm führt ein markierter Weg in ca. 3,5 Stunden
zum Gipfel. Man überwindet dabei 1200 Höhenmeter und sollte dafür
etwas Kondition und Trittsicherheit mitbringen. Der Cache liegt
nicht direkt am Gipfel, sondern ca. 70 Höhenmeter unterhalb nahe
des Weges. Um den Cache zu finden muss man nicht klettern oder
sonst ein Risiko eingehen.
Der Cache bietet etwas Platz zum Traden und hat folgenden
Erstinhalt, der sowohl in aussichtsreichen als auch in kritischen
Bergsituationen stets nützlich sein kann:
- Logzettel + Bleistifte
- Brillenputztuch
- Trillerpfeife

The Rappenspitze is a nice but less frequented peak in the
Karvendel mountains near the Achensee lake.
You can park your car at the Falzthurnalm (alm = alpine hut) at N
47° 25.620 E 011° 39.000. Please note that the Falzthurnalm is
accessible via 3,5 km toll road from Pertisau only. To avoid the
toll you can leave the car in Pertisau and get to the Falzthurnalm
by bicycle (As it's a paved way you don't even need a
mountainbike).
The mountain trip from the Falzthurnalm to the Rappenspitz peak
covers 1200 meters of altitude and takes about 3,5 hours. For this,
it's a good idea to be sure-footed and have a little fitness.
The cache is not located at the summit but 70 meters of altitude
below (near the hiking trail). You don't need to climb or take any
risk to find the cache.
