Peak Of The Rare
Flower
Have a panoramic view from the highest
drivable point of the Grossglockner Alpine Road and admire
more than 30 peaks of 3000+ metres height and 19
glaciers.
Stage 1
You
are at a parking lot at Fuschertörl at N 47° 07.044' E 012°
49.704 .
There is some kind of an aiming device pointing to a
landmark. What is its altitude?
Take the most significant digit of this 4 digit number (i.e. the
leftmost one) and let it be A
Looking about you will see the peak of the rare flower.
Go to the top of it (it's an about 30 min walk from
where you are).
Stage 2
At the very top is a small
tower with a platform on top.
There another aiming device points to a well known summit.
Take the first 2 digits of this 4 digit number and let it be
B
Take the coordinates of the place you are at. Cut off the two
least significant digits of the minutes of the coordinates and
replace them by zeroes (e.g. N 25° E 017.123 will yield N 25° E
017.100. ) This will give you N2 and E2
Stage 3
The cache is
at
N3 = N2 - B + 4*A
E3 = E2 + 2*B -12*A
The cache is a small plastic box (about
15x15x5 cm)
After retrieving the cache it would be a good idea to stop for a
bite to eat at Mr Lederer's restaurant right on top of the peak.

Vom höchsten befahrbaren Punkt der
Grossglockner Hochalpenstraße hast Du einen wunderbaren Blick auf
über 30 3000er und 19 Gletscher.
Stage 1
Du
befindest Dich auf dem Parkplatz beim Fuschertörl auf N 47° 07.044'
E 012° 49.704 .
Dort befindet sich ein "Zielgerät" das auf einen markanten Punkt
im Panorama zeigt. Was ist die Höhe dieser angepeilten
Stelle?
Nehme die linke Ziffer dieser 4-stelligen Höhenangabe. Diese
Ziffer ist A
Wenn Du Dich umsiehst, siehst Du den "Gipfel der seltenen
Blume".
Gehe bis zur Spitze - es sind ungefähr 30 Minuten zu
wandern.
Stage 2
Auf dem Gipfel ist ein
kleiner runder Turm mit einer Plattform oben drauf..
Dort siehst Du ein weiteres Zielgerät , das auf einen sehr
bekannten Berg gerichtet ist. Auf dem Gerät ist ein Schild mit
einer 4-stelligen Zahl.
Nimm die ersten 2 Ziffern dieser Zahl. Das ist B
Nehme die Koordinaten, wo Du Dich gerade befindest. Ersetze die
beiden rechten Ziffern von den gemessenen Minuten der Koordinaten
durch Nullen (z.B. N 25° E 017.123 wird zu N 25° E 017.100. ). Das
Resultat ist N2 und E2

Nachdem Du den Cache gehoben hast, wäre eine
gute Idee, im Restaurant auf der Spitze einzukehren.

Der Cache enthält:
Logbuch, Kugelschreiber, runde Metallscheibe, Leiterplatte,
original Ohrenstöpsel eines Queen Konzerts, rotes Band für
Schlüssel od ID-Karte, kleiner runder Stoffbeutel
