“Geocaching Diet” A Geocaching.com Lost & Found Video

Geocaching squares off again the battle of the bulge.  Geocacher Martin Pedersen is on a diet. Martin is determined to lose 100 pounds by the end of the year.  He’s using geocaching to shed the weight.  His aim is to find 1000 geocaches and walk 2500 kilometers.  Root him on by posting a comment and sharing your geocaching weight lose stories here on our blog.  You can also track his progress and send well wishes his way on his must-read family website, http://familynavigation.com

His weight goal is measured in pounds, but his distance goal is measured in kilometers? LOL

    YOU CAN DO IT!
I started a weight loss program just a few months before we started caching. I lost 80 lbs! and I attribute much of it to Geocaching!
    KEEP GOING!

I walk a new park every day and geocache my way around it. I have lost 40 lbs so far with WW and geocaching/ walking. Geocaching makes the walking fun and it helps me get the family involved.

I definitely want to try this. I've been looking for a way to lose weight, but my severe asthma prevents me from almost any form of exercise. I love geocaching, and this is the perfect way to try and get healthier! I'm rooting for you Martin!! Thank you for the inspiration.

Good luck and hope you manage to succeed with your objective. It would be nice and after the success, you could become an example for other people with a similar desire as yours.

Cool. I just got back from Vancouver Island with my brother.
We spent a whole week doing mostly geocaching.
Most of our time was spent in Courtenay and the Parksville area.
Good luck with the geocaching diet.
    That is a great idea.

I lost over 40 pounds when I started walking for exercise. That was a few months before I started geocaching, but walking just to walk was dull and hard to make myself get out and do it. Geocaching gives me a fun reason and I get to meet good people and discover places I never would have known into the bargain. win-win-win-win!

1000 caches is a lot of work.
