“4×4 Geocaching” A Geocaching.com Lost & Found Video

The adventure of geocaching goes four-wheeling.  Geocachers with four-wheel drive vehicles seem resolved not to let little things like mountains and deserts and large expanses of razor-sharp shrubs deter them from finding caches.

Off-roading and geocaching

The roots of 4×4 geocaching run deep into the decade long history of geocaching. Thousands of geocaches with “off-road” attributes now span the globe from Albania to Zambia and almost everywhere in between.

Watch geocachers from Team Red Rubicon explore the wilds of Colorado, USA in search of geocaches.

I can’t help but grin uncontrolably as I watch the video. The two do indeed go hand in hand and its soooooo much fun!

That was a very fun day with Eric and Reid. The weather and trail could not have been better. On top of that, the gals (Susan and Jennifer) decided to surprise me with a birthday strawberry shortcake at the end of the spur trail that leads to “The Mine” cache. How cool was that? With geocaching, it is hard not to make friends.

Great Video! I too have a Red 06 Wrangler. LOL. Not many places here in New York to combine both caching and Jeeping. I did find a great trail in the Catskill Mountains that I have placed 5 caches on that you need a 4×4 to get to. Happy Jeep Caching!

Makes me think I should have gotten something with a bit more ground-clearance than my Forester. :-)
