This hike has a lot of bang for the buck. Even if you go out on the closed portion of the trail to the tunnels, it is less than 2 miles.  Within that walk, you will cover a lot of different little ecosystems.  It is the hike that I did most often when living in Granite Falls.  Any day that I felt too lazy to do anything else, I came here.

Bathrobe Cache

There is everything to love about this spot. The water, the panorama, the wildflowers. WOW!!!

Deceptive

I loved that you can be right at the bottom and the top of this waterfall. Super cool spot!!

Explorer Falls

This is a super long walk. I couldn't make it much past the point of this cache.  But the point of the cache was absolutely awesome and very peaceful.  I loved the openness of this spot, I haven't seen many waterfalls from so far away.  

Glacier Falls

The Lake 22 hike has everything. Lots of waterfalls, amazing trees, meadows and wildflowers, including some rare ones, a gorgeous ridge view a stunning lake, and mosquitos....oh, yah, mosquitos.  Anyways, this is my favorite hike up on Mountain Loop Highway. When I lived there, I did it very regularly. In addition to the beauty, it is a fantastic workout and very accessible.



Lake 22 Cache

I loved this series and I love the fact that the Lime Kiln is still there (it is pretty cool) and this really lovely trail has been constructed out there. It is a great hike when a lot of things higher up are frozen and it has one of the best selection of spring and summer wildflowers that I have seen around Granite Falls.

Well, I picked this cache somewhat arbitrarily from the MHS series.  I only did a couple of them and I liked them all.  What I really love is the idea of a historical series of caches.  Good for the whole family.  And the owner has put so much work and thought into it.

For me the journey to the cache is more important than the hunt or the contents of the cache.  This is one of the most spectacular day hikes that I have been on.

Mount Dickerman 

I really love this park and the hide is just beautiful and simple.

Sitka Spruce

This spot is absolutely spectacular and it is only a short walk to a really gorgeous waterfall.  Talk about viewpoints, for me this is bliss!

Sperry Nice View

This is one of the most memorable cache for my husband. It is a very short hike and a clever hide.  The lake is so sweet, wooded to the shore, which is his favorite kind.
