Local geocachers and geocaching organizations often designate a time and location to meet and discuss geocaching. These get-togethers are listed as Event Caches on Geocaching.com. Anyone is welcome to attend Event Caches. They are great way to meet your fellow geocachers and you can even earn a smiley by logging the event.

Cache In Trash Out is an ongoing environmental initiative supported by the worldwide geocaching community. Cache In Trash Out Events might be focused on litter clean-up, removal of invasive species, revegation efforts or trail building.
