  • ASTM 2040 / CE 1077 Certified QHow Should my Helmet Fit?
  • (1) Try on to ensure snug fit.
  • (1-A) Make sure the front is low on the forehead (otherwise no size will fit or protect you correctly.)
  • (2) Adjust the Interior padding to fit your head.
  • (2-A) When the interior pads hold the helmet firmly but comfortably in place, the helmeet fit is correct.
  • (3) Adjust the helmet chin strap so it fits snugly but comfortably under the chin.
  • (4) Grab the helmet with both hands and try to twist it left to right. If the helmet fits correctly the skin on your forehead will move a bit with the helmet.
  • (5) Grab the helmet with both hands and try to slide it side-to-side and front to back. The helmet shouldn't 'rattle' easily when you do this.
  • (6) Try on you goggles with the helmet to make sure the goggles fit with the helmet.
  • (7)If needed, fine tune the fit with the extra padding included in the helmet box.

A soft measuring tape is an excellent tool to determine the correct circumference of the user's head in centimeters and get a rough idea of what helmet size will fit them best. If you do not have a soft tape, use string. Do not use a metal tape as it will not give an accurate measurement.

1.) Have the user stand facing you while looking straight ahead. (Tip: when fitting small children it is helpful to kneel in front of them so you are at eye level.)

2.) Using both hands, hold the measuring tape at each end with the marks facing away from you.

3.) Place the fit tape behind the user's head just above the ears.

4.) Wrap the side in your right hand around to the front of their forehead so the end of the tape is centered between (and just above) the eyebrows.

5.) Wrap the side in your left hand around (just above the ears and brow) to overlap the end of the tape with a snug fit. Read the measurement at the end of the tape to determine circumference measurement.

6.) Remove measuring tape and record the measurement. This number can be used to narrow the helmet size selection using the helmet-sizing chart above.
