This cache has been archived.

Heartland Cacher: Greetings from Geocaching.com I'm Heartland Cacher, one of the volunteer reviewers for new caches submitted to Geocaching.com.

It has been a while since I first looked at this cache. I can't find any recent responses from the Cache Owner about maintaining this cache which makes it appear the Cache Owner is either unwilling or unable to maintain the cache. Cache maintenance includes listing maintenance including updating any changes to the text, updating coordinates, removing needs maintenance attributes and enabling the listing. The cache will be archived and removed from the active cache listings. Should the owner decide to maintain the cache in the near future (30 days), just contact me (by email including the GCXXX and Cache Name), and assuming it meets the current guidelines, I'll be happy to unarchive it.

Thanks for your understanding,
Heartland Cacher

Geocache Description:

This is a regular size cache located in a new North Linn County wildlife and hunting areanear the old Red Bridge.

This is a regular size cache located in a new North Linn County wildlife and hunting area. This cache is near the old Red Bridge where local high schoolers have been known to hang out during the summer months. The Red Bridge is located to the East of the parking area. The Buffalo creek runs through the property and was a local picnic area years ago by local farmers. If you park at the listed coordinates, you can walk on a nice trail most of the way. The parking is located at 42 15.187W, 91 29.399W. From the parking area, it is a short 0.16 mile walk to the cache down a nice trail and an easy walk. Finding the cache should be a fairly simple task. Getting to the log book is a different story. You will need to locate the cache first.

Please use caution when retrieving the cache. Remember this or you will not be able to put cache back where you found it! Only use brown to retrieve the cache, do not use the green!!!!!!!!!!!! Green is to the North and Brown is to the South. Green is short and brown is long. Both are important parts of this cache.

To open the cache you will need to locate the release mechanism. To do this please use the clue provided. Please place the cache and parts back to their original location. I hope you enjoy this cache. I am trying to provide creative caches in this area of Iowa and will be placing more in the future. This cache can hold several travel bugs and will have several to start with. Please use caution during deer season as this land is open to hunting. The placement of this cache has been approved by the park manager.

Please do not take any photos near the cache as this may give it away. The enabler is located in a waterproof match box container. Thank you.
