Another cache in the HR Alphabet Soup Series.
Most people when they hear the word "lady" think of "a woman who is refined, polite, and well-spoken". or "A woman of high social position or economic class." Someone who dresses well and is always neet and clean. There's "The First Lady" "Lady Luck" "Lady Astor" et al and "Ladies of ill repute" (oops maybe they don't fit in with the description) Singular use of the word "lady" is usually perceived as rude or at least insensitive: "Lady, get out of my way". "Look, lady.......". But I submit to you, my caching friends, that a "lady" is far more than the narrow description above. She is energetic (sometimes), she doesn't mind a little sweat and dirt (as long as there's a shower at the end of the day), she can deal with spiders, poisonous plants, bugs, wildlife and snakes (well maybe not the poisonous plants and snakes) she enjoys time spent in the great outdoors and riding for hours in the car to get to the next nearest cache (well maybe that's stretching it a little). She can be serious, silly, determined and devious. She is fun, frustrating and fabulous. She comes in many sizes and shapes. She dresses appropriately for the day she faces be it jeans and sweatshirt, shorts and t-shirt, or pink cammo. She is a lady and a cacher and she proudly walks with you into the unknown in search of adventure. For these things and so much more I humbly submit to you that L truly stands for "LADI"......I mean "LADY" This is a Chesapeake City Park. Open sunrise to sunset. This cache is at the north end of The Dismal Swamp Canal Trail. This is not a safe area at night. Fox, oppossum, raccoon and bear are just a few of the night time residents in this area. Please respect the sunrise to sunset hours.
