Geoscotians: Well, we went to do maintenance on this cache and found that the area had been turned into a party zone with a big bonfire pit. Not good. We actually found the original cache container as well as the newer container we replaced a few months ago. Both were in a different place than they were supposed to be. Looks like someone rehid the original container in a completely new spot and failed to tell anyone. No wonder we couldn't find it before. We removed both containers and are archiving the cache. We're creating a new cache nearby. It will be a small cache with only a logbook to avoid some of the previous problems. BTW, there were no trackables in either cache container, so I hope someone grabbed them and is moving them along.
