Geocache Description:

Welcome to Middle Earth

Mt Doom is located in the middle of the black land of Mordor. The One Ring was forged here, and your goal is to cast the Ring back into its fiery depths.
The cache is not at the given coordinates, but is within 2km. To locate Mt Doom you must decipher the following message:

The journey to Mt Doom is arduous, but not dangerous. The routes to the top are numerous, but the best approach will involve a 2.5km walk. Please do not attempt to go cross country in this dangerous terrain, you will not need to leave a track until you are within 50m of the cache.
Cache is a large ammo box and contains the One Ring. Please do not remove the ring, but feel free to cast it into the fiery depths of the volcano, glued to the log book. There is also a camera in the cache. Please take a picture of yourself with the ring – do you dare put it on your finger?
