The VanDucks: Having read the comments from the finder "unusualsuspect" on 8-23-14, we will archive this cache.
At the time we placed it, there was no school close by, although the area was identified as a possible "future school site." The pathway along which the cache was placed was far enough from the school when it was constructed a few years later to be within the geocaching.com guidelines for placement.
However, seeing the photos that "unusual suspect" took of the note left in the logbook by a Fairfax County policeman indicating that the cache was too close to the school, accordng to their concerns, means we will willingly archive it.
We've enjoyed seeing all the comments from geocachers who found it over the last seven years!
We'll pick up the container soon. Thanks to "unusual suspect" for the photos and information!
