Set aside enough time to explore this area along with finding the cache, as it's got a little bit of everything - nice bike/hiking trail, ponds, fishing, woods and a nearby playground area, too!
The cache is a camo plastic pill bottle, courtesy of Larry's (cc8c4) dad, who seems to have taken an interest in cache construction, and is quite good at it! Parking is available in the park, although I noticed that, of course, after we parked at the gate just off the highway and walked quite a bit further!
When you log your find, jot a few ideas about what this structure is! It looks to me like it once was going to be one of those huge observation decks like they use out west in forests to look for fires. But,,,it's only about halfway done. What happened? It kind of reminds me of the native Hawaiian lele, which is a primitive type of altar still used at various sites in the islands. To others it might look like a giant set of goal posts. Who knows? Have fun!
