V kvetnu roku 2006 se nad Josefovým dolem - V Hornim Maxove
vztycila rozporuplna stavba Martina Rajnise. Spolecne s nekolika
studenty postavil 15 metrovou samonosnou vez, s celkovou hmotnosti
7 tun a 54 vnitrnimi schody, s minimalnim poctem sroubu a
hrebu.
Uskladnil si tak sve drevo prastarou technikou, kdy se stavelo do
vyssich hranic za ucelem proschnuti a pozorovani obyvaneho okoli. V
zime, kdy listnate stromy opadly - zlepsila se viditelnost, se
drevo z hranic rozebiralo za topnym ucelem.
Urady stavba dost rozdrazdila, povazovaly ji za nelegalni a trvaly
na jejim odstraneni (proc odstranovat sklad dreva?). Dobre, ze se
tak nestalo, jedna se o opravdu zajimavou konstrukci.
Pokud jste tady nikdy nebyli, nasvtivte ji co nejdrive. Drevo
neni nijak lakovano, moreno, impregnovano a zub casu je mocny :-( ,
vystup uvazte podle strachu a rozumu!!.

Scholzberg Tower – a vertical store of wood with
observation built–in stairs in the shape of a tower
In may 2006 a controversial construction by an architect Martin
Rajniš raised in Horni Maxov nearby Josefuv Dul . Together
with a few students he has built a 15 m self-supporting tower with
a weight of 7 tons, 54 built-in stairs, with a minimal amount of
screws and pins. He has stored his wood using an ancient technique
when people created higher piles in order to dry the wood and also
observe their surroundings. In winter when the leaves fell down and
the visibility got better the wood was taken for heating.
Authorities got angry because of the tower, they considered it as
illegal and wanted it to be removed (Why to remove a store of
wood??) Fortunately it didn’t happen because it is an amazing
construction.
If you have never been here you visit it as soon as possible.
The wood is not penetrated or impregnated. For climbing up you
decide according to your fear :-)))
