Geocache Description:

A half a mile walk from car to cache and back with several stiles. Difficulty will depend on accuracy of GPS under tree cover but we got it down to 13ft. A 1ltr clip lock box.

This cache was placed to introduce geocachers to the little known area of Lambsquay Wood that most tourists miss out on. The wood contains “scowles” or open cast iron workings which date back before Roman times.
If you want to see more in a landscaped setting then visit the nearby “Puzzle wood” open from April to October. The tea rooms at “Clearwell Caves”, which are also ancient iron mines, are highly recommended.
