In 1582, the day 10/13 does not exist in Italy, Poland, Portugal and Spain due to the implementation of the Gregorian calendar.

In 1792 in Washington, DC, the cornerstone of the United States Executive Mansion (known as the White House since 1818) is laid on 10/13.

In 1960, baseballer Bill Mazeroski becomes the first person to end a World Series with a home run on 10/13.

The birthdays of Paul Simon, John Ford Coley, Marie Osmond are on 10/13.

On 10/13, 1943, Italy declared war on Germany, its one-time Axis partner

On 10/13, 1903, the Boston Americans beat the Pittsburgh Pirates 3-0 to win the first World Series five games to three.

On 10/13, there are still 72 shopping days until Christmas!!!

And finally, 10-13 is the Police Code to "Advise Weather/Road Condition"

While these are some interesting facts about 10/13, they have nothing to do with this cache. We were amazed to see how much information is available about a seemingly random date. "The power of the internet" This cache, however is located in a quiet park along County LO. You can park for free in the lot by the "porta John", and take a nice little hike through the park to find it. It is a small cache, so small trades are always welcome.
