Cache is located at a great little lake tucked into a little basin on the South East side of Mt. Hood. There are some great sites to camp at the lake, or make it a day trip. The lake is shallow, and great for swimming on a hot summer day. Watch out for crawdads.
The hike in from the North is shorter, but steeper. The trail from the South is a bit longer, and only steep at the end, hiking up over zig zag ridge and down into the basin. The south route will treat you to a view of Mt. Hood and Burnt Lake below.
This cache is placed with the permission of the Mt. Hood Wilderness. Cache is just off of a trail, with no bushwhacking required.
Cache is a small camo'd rubbermaid box.
