This cache is inside the Tabernacle visitors center and is wheel chair accessible.

This authentic replica was built and dedicated in 1996, near the site where the original tabernacle was constructed in December 1847 by 200 men in less than three weeks under the direction of Henry W. Miller. See the problems associated with constructing a building with “green” cottonwood logs. Observe a fireplace built with prairie sod and learn about early pioneer life through the tools they used, the transportation they had and the household implements they had to work with.
