This being the back woods of Maine (an area I love), this one may be very hard to find, because the logging roads aren't well mapped. If you want more detailed information to get there, look in the "Hint" section.
Here, I'll just tell you to park around 45 09.740 67 34.454, and find the cache located at the coords above. If you find the right parking location, you'll have a beautiful view of Pocomoonshine Lake. From the lookout just above the cache, you'll have an even more beautiful view of Big Lake (generically named, but don't make fun, my summers growing up were spent on this lake).
For an additional bit of fun, you can locate the cement pylons that are all that remain of the fire tower which used to be on top of Pocomoonshine Mountain until the 70's. This is located at 45 09.899 67 34.578
The cache is a one gallon rubbermaid container. Update 11/1/09 The container has been replaced with a large plastic snap lock. As seeded, it contains a log book, a pencil (I got smart after my first failure in this department), a pencil sharpener in case it breaks, a welcome message, and the following "prizes" from the "take one and leave something else" department: 50 feet of polypropylene cord (camoflage color), a signal whistle, a pin-on compass, and a small container of "Repel" insect block.
I will be very interested to see if anyone visits this cache, so far off of the beaten path.
