Almost a rubbermade contianer Near hawks Nest
I love this place, I wanted to put an ammo contianer here and will eventually replace the cache with a larger container. Currently it is only a large ziplock back with a film canister, log and tradable items.
I live in Lincoln NE but visit this area 2 - 3 times per year.
The park, voted one of the "7 Wonders of Illinois" is filled with historical monuments, a statue of Black Hawk, the Watchtower Lodge, the Hauberg Indian Museum, and the Civilian Conservation Corps museum. You may want to visit those places while you are in the park.
This not a state park, it's a historic site, historic sites don't have a geocache
policy. However, permission to place the cache was obtained from the Black Hawk State Historic Site. BlackHawkPark@mchsi.com
