Geocache Description:

Three of the hopefully permanent caches have made it to that status (Bravo). MRP#6 has not, due to the fact that it is under a bridge (BOO), so log that one here as a temp cache.

Meet and Greet

2:00 pm – 5:00 pm

Come enjoy gr8 fun, gr8 fellowship, and your gr8 geocaching family!

Take a short break from all the hustle and bustle and shoveling. Have a late lunch or an early dinner while sharing holiday stories and new year’s resolutions. The owner asks that we park in the lot west of the restaurant near the barn (it's also part of the property) or across the street (Hwy Q)in the Old Falls Village parking lot. This will allow the other customers to come and go.What better way to celebrate the Holidays than with a group of friends and fellow geocachers gathered around a pile of rewrapped gifts…Have you been considering your Most Interesting Christmas Gifts??? Here’s a fun way to exchange those items:

Re-gifting / white elephant exchange geocaching style (starting at 3:00 pm) We will have a separate kid exchange as well (since so many young people are joining us!)

Here are the simple rules; Yes, if you plan on joining in on the re-gifting exchange, there are a few simple rules to follow…
  • 1. Bring in something that you have gotten as a gift, that doesn’t quite suit you, or that you have multiples of.
  • 2. Wrap it. But, do not put anyone's name on it (not even your own). Don’t tell anyone what it is.
  • 3. 1 gift per team or geocacher (when you arrive, someone will be accepting the gifts and handing out a ticket for the exchange).
  • 4. The order of re-gift selection will be done randomly. When your number is called... you have the option of choosing a gift from the pile, or stealing someone else’s gift from them (this will cause them to choose another one) The person holding the stolen gift has the option of taking another gift from the pile, or stealing from someone else (just not the same one that was just stolen) as long as rule number 5 is not broken.
  • 5. Once a gift has been stolen 3 times, it's dead and no longer in play and gets to be kept by that player. Who knows you might end up with what you brought in the first place!
  • Temporary and pocket caches will be hidden. New nearby permanent caches will be available weather permitting.

A Travel Bug and Geocoin Exchange area will be available too.
