A variety of outdoor recreation opportunities are available at the park. Picnic sites are available on the shaded picnic hill. A playground complex, horseshoe court, an open field sport area and two unimproved softball diamonds are also available. Morgan Creek Park Shelter is conveniently located near other park facilities. This open-air shelter is available for reservation for outings. The park is open year-round; however, some park roads are closed during winter months. During the winter, cross-country skiing is a popular activity on the two-mile trail. The cache is located along the Prairie trail.
