Another cache located along the Hixon Forest trails. This cache is
near the lookout point on the aptly named Lookout trail. This is
probably one of the hardest caches that I have put out to date (or
at least I hope so).
There are two ways to get to this cache. You can either park at the
Hixon Forest parking lot or park on Highway FA (The Human Power
Trail parking lot). Parking at the Hixon Forest parking lot is a
bit of a longer hike but not hard. Parking in the HPT lot will get
you there faster and with less elevation changes.
Please note that there is no need to climb up or down any of the
rocks in this area. The ground may be slippery in winter or after a
heavy rain. I have put a good bit of time into this cache, please
tell me what you think of it. There are some amazing views of the
La Crosse area from the cache and along the trail.
Cache contains only a log book. Please bring your own writing
utensil. The cache container has a screw off top. If you can't find
this cache send me a message and I will be happy to give you an
extra hint or two.
