Geocache Description:

IS THIS CACHE STILL LOCATABLE? - I no longer live in the area and am wondering if this cache survived the flooded in the area in 2013.

This cache is situated in Kananaskis, Alberta. It is located basically halfway to Ribbon Falls on the Ribbon Creek trail, roughly five feet off the path. The cache is a 5318 ft, with an elevation gain of nearly 300 ft. from the Ribbon Creek parking lot. It is a fairly easy hike with some great scenery.

Ang Rita is a famous Sherpa from Khumbe in the mountains of Nepal. Orphaned at a young age and unable to make ends meet in this small agricultural village, he took on a life of climbing mountains.

He is now the record holder for the most times summitting the worlds highest peak, Everest (29,028 ft.). He has successfully summited 10 times without the use of supplimental oxygen! He has also climbed most of the major mountains in the Himalaya.

"Snow Leopard" is his adopted nickname for his amazing feats in the snow and ice of these major mountains.

I hope you enjoy the hike to Ribbon Falls, with a stop of coarse at this cache.
