How Geocaching Works

Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer.

Geocache Description:

This cache is located in the Portage Lakes State Park in Northeastern Ohio, and
is given the 5/5 Rating because of the difficulty in completing the requirements.
The actual rating of this cache is 1.5/1.5.

You will be looking for a camoed sandwich size Lock-'n-Lock.

Permission for placing this final cache was given by the
Ohio Department of Natural Resources.

The Cache is at the posted coords, but you must read and fulfill the following requirements to log this cache!

Disclaimer: This cache is not for everyone.

Since OhiO is a well rounded state, i.e. round on the ends and high in the middle.  It needed to have a well rounded cache.   So, . . .

The original Fizzy Challenge cache; GC11E8N – "Well Rounded Cacher (The Fizzy Challenge)", was placed in California by Kealia to honor the cacher FizzyMagic, who has given much to his local caching community.  This cache, GC1AHN3 - OhiO's Well Rounded Fizzy Challenge, is placed in Ohio to honor all cachers, past, present, and future.  And, I want to add a special thanks to Kealia, and to Todd of the ODNR.

Read ALL of the following carefully before you seek this Cache.  You must meet the requirements of this Challenge to Log this Cache.  Failure to meet the requirements WILL result in LOG DELETION.  This cache is not for everyone.  It may not be for you.  There is no time limit as to when this Cache must be completed.  But, by the time that you have completed this “Fizzy” you will have accomplished much and become a well rounded cacher.

To be able to claim a find on this cache, you will need to first find at least one cache of every difficulty/terrain combination (81 unique combinations).  Like this:

Terrain
Difficulty   1 1.5 2 2.5 3 3.5 4 4.5 5
1 x x x x x x x x x
1.5 x x x x x x x x x
2 x x x x x x x x x
2.5 x x x x x x x x x
3 x x x x x x x x x
3.5 x x x x x x x x x
4 x x x x x x x x x
4.5 x x x x x x x x x
5 x x x x x x x x x

As part of those finds, you'll need to have at least one of each of the cache types below (the different cache types DO count against the 81, so if you find a 2.5/2.5 multi-cache, it fulfills both requirements.):

Earthcache - EarthCache Event Cache - Event Cache Letterbox Hybrid - Letterbox Hybrid
CITO Event - Cito Event Traditional Cache - Traditional Cache Multi Cache - Multi Cache
Unknown Cache - Unknown Cache Virtual Cache - Virtual Cache Webcam Cache - Webcam Cache

We've excluded APE caches and MEGA events as they are few and far between, Locationless Caches as they've been phased out, and Wherigo™ Caches as they require a Wherigo-enabled GPS device.

The caches used to fulfill the above requirement can be from anywhere in the World.

Now, how do you track your caches and report them?

There is now one preferred method; a Bookmark file, that is shared and public with this cache as your 82nd entry, on your Geocaching.com account.
See below on how to send the info. If you do not have a Premium Account contact me about how to send me the information.

This change in reporting was caused, by what appears to be, the demise of the "itsnotaboutthenumbers" site.  Their Difficulty/Terrain matrix made it easy to check the caches as it linked to the caches.  The matrix from GSAK's FindStatGen macro doesn't do this.  But, with a DB built from the Pocket Query and run against the FizzyBrowser macro in GSAK it becomes very easy.

Basic rules (to keep things easy):
1 - All PREVIOUS cache finds DO count - you do NOT start from zero "0" at this point.
2 - Rule deleted 09/16/2012. This was the published date rule.
3 - No rating changes of existing caches will be accepted as counting towards your goal
4 - Generally accepted rules, guidelines and conditions for logging a cache find apply
5 - These must be caches listed on Geocaching.com that you have personally
         (physically) found and logged
6 - Logging finds on caches you own will NOT be allowed
7 - If you have others with you when you find the final cache, only those who have
fulfilled ALL criteria for this cache will be allowed to log it as a find.
8 - Finds without the proper back-up WILL be deleted
9 - This cache and other Fizzys do not count as part of the matrix.
10 - "Liar's Caches" or others which are deliberately over-rated will not be allowed.
Please adhear to these simple rules to keep things fun for everybody.

To claim credit for this find (and keep your find from being deleted) you must do one of the following:
A). Send me (w8tts [at] w8tts [dot] com) a copy of your most current MyFinds PQ
B). With the Bookmark file that contains the 81 caches, plus this cache:
1). make the Bookmark file public & shared,
2). create a Pocket Query from the Bookmark file,
3). send that Pocket Query file to me (w8tts [at] w8tts [dot] com).
4). I'll get back to you ASAP letting you know if you are good to go or not.
C). Contact me (w8tts [at] w8tts [dot] com), only if you don't have a
geocaching.com Premium account, on how to send me the information
         needed.

Please no "Travel" items as they may reside in this cache for a long time.

This should be fun and we're counting on the honor system for sticking to the rules. We will spot check the finds, but don't want to have to be the cache police on checking every find. Please "play" fair and have a good time!

And, congratulations to the following
