Originally, the land now occupied by the Doe Run and Laurel trails was owned by Dupont. After the local plant — where my dad worked for 30 years — closed down, the land was donated to the City of Martinsville.
The cache is a small, gold-painted Tupperware container, large enough only for a few small items (nothing larger than a golf ball), so keep that in mind when planning a trade.
Muggles aren't usually a big problem, but use typical caution for hiking in the woods — beware of briers, poison plants, bugs, etc. Do not reach blindly into holes with your bare hands, as various critters (including snakes) are known to live in this area.
Congrats to Spring1, FTF.
