Geocache Description:

Warning: Hunt this cache at your own risk.

Another cache in the county pond/hoffman woods area. To find this one you need to do a couple waypoint projections (something your gps unit likely does). Use the given point as a starting point, first project the .1 mile on 20° bearing, then .1 mile on 96° bearing. Use magnetic north, and automatic declination, or 5° if user entered. Theses aren't exactly the same, but its short distance so should be close. Happy hunting.

To get to Hoffman woods/Kounty pond from I380 take the exit for Brandon (exit 49) and head east on the county road, just beyond the over pass you turn south down a little gravel land (theres a sign too). Follow this to the area.

There is a small parking lot above the boat ramp, at N42°18.272 W91°58.033. From the parking area, get to the far side of the pond/lake (you can walk down either side it doesn't matter). Once on the far side you'll need to go a short ways into the woods before beginning your search.

Caution: This cache is in or near a public hunting area. Please use extra care if you choose to go geocaching during open hunting season. Iowa's popular shotgun deer seasons are ususally the first 3 or so weeks of Decemeber, but the specific dates vary from year to year.
