A kid-friendly cache in Calavera Springs Park. This cache is a
book trader for books appropriate for young readers through
young adults. The thin, Scholastic-style paperbacks, not the
3-inch thick Harry Potter hardcovers. If you have no youngsters in
your caching party with books to swap, feel free to simply sign the
log.
The kids in "team" gotta run are big fans of Jigsaw Jones books. If
kids in your geocaching crew are fans too, this will be an easy
puzzle to solve! This code is used in several of the books,
including The Case of the Ghostwriter and The Case of the
Spooky Sleepover. Or, you can figure out the code on your own
if you study it for a bit.
The Ghost Writer has left a large ammo box with a number of books
in them! They were originally a mix of early readers (age 5-ish)
through young adult novels.
The book stash is located at N44 36.XXX / W088 06.XXX. To find the
missing numbers, crack the following code:
YO
UMU
STFOL
LOWT
HEREDT
RAI
LTONOR
THNIN
EZER
OEIG
HTWE
STSE
VEN
TW

It would be nice if the first-to-find were logged by a team with a
young'un who brings a book to swap. Hopefully there's something in
there he or she will like.
Oh, if you've read this far, you might be wondering, what's the
deal with The Case of the Galloping Gobbler? Well, when we were
placing the cache, we scared up a huge turkey on the trail. I don't
know who was more startled, but the kids in team gotta run insisted
on the title. It has nothing to do whatsoever with football. So
there.
