Geocache Description:

One of a series of caches in one of Merrill's newer parks, intended to tire out the kids (TOTK) & get some great exercise!

Park & grab caches can be great sometimes, but as parents of two small children we like geocaches that involve a lot of walking in order to tire those kids out & get them to sleep! This park has a 2.5 mile walking trail with caches placed throughout, the series is guaranteed to wear out the kids and/or get the grown-ups some great exercise too.
Five micro/small caches have been hidden, each containing a clue for the final (larger) cache to be found at N45 11.ABC W 089 40.DEF.
C= the number of "fishing stations" (is that what you call them?) in the fishing pier MINUS ONE.

Prairie Trails park was resurrected from the banks of the historic Prairie River in 2003. The previous industry of Ward Papers used this basin as a water source providing power for paper production. The reservoir was first used in the great loggin era of the late 1800's for harvest of the pineries. The logging boom was the reason for the city of Jenny Bull Falls' growth; later "Jenny" was changed to the city of Merrill.
Prairie Trails park is 99 acres of pristine and natural parkland. It is designed for low-impact silent recreation, such as canoeing, fishing, hiking, wildlife observation, GEOCACHING :), and promoting physical wellness. The park extends along a 2 mile stretch of the Prairie River, which is a Class "A" trout stream. Amenities include: 2.5 miles of hiking, walking, biking, cross-country skiing, and snowshoe trails; boardwalk, bridge, pavilion, two canoe landings, a scenic overlook and a handicap accessible fishing pier.
Parking area located just off Center Rd/Hwy K.

After heavy rains or at certain times of year, low spots in the trail may be quite wet.

This cache is a small camo'd jar with logbook/pencil & room for a few small items. Cache also contains the clue for A.
