How Geocaching Works
Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer
Cache is a camo wrapped cylinder shaped container. It is "winter friendly" and located on private property with permission from the owners who are Darryll and Wanda Childers. Their property is adjacent to the Nicolet National Forest at the edge of May Lake. You can either park on Lakeview Dr. or at 45 58.908 and 088 50.024.
The cache is located in the town of Alvin named after Alvin Spencer one of the earliest pioneers to the area. Many of the earlier settlers came from Kentucky. It was settled in the early 1900's as a logging community. The old train came right through this very spot and turned around. Nearby there is a cement piece still present that was part of the train turn around. From the cache please look east up the hill and wave to the nice people who let us place the cache here.
