Redfield is a small town about 30 minutes west of the Des Moines
metro area. The rural Iowa life is found in abundance here in this
sleepy little town. The Raccoon River Valley Trail runs through
Redfield, and is also home to a unique geological formation in the
Hanging Rock Park (where I also have two other caches).
Every summer Redfield holds the annual Old Settler's Celebration.
Every winter is the Winterfest Celebration. Every Thursday, from
May through October, the Farmer's Market takes place in the city
park.
Not quite the heart of Iowa, but holds all the
