Warren Island Campout
Well summer is here and it is time to get back out on the water. Summer would not be complete without a trip out to Warren Island State Park.
The event is held in Warren Island State Park and you will need a boat to get here as there is no Roads or Trails to the camp site. To get to the event you can take the Isleboro Ferry over to Isleboro to get to the Isleboro Parking coordinates. This is the reccomended directions. For the advanced paddlers and the more adventureous I am also including the coordinates for the Lincolnville boat ramp.
I plan on going up on Friday and we have the site reserved for both nights so if you are interseted in doing a second nite please feel free to meet on friday or letting me know so we can paddle over together.
I am still working out the plans for the event.
For thoose that would like we will be camping out in the group camping area on site 8. From there the plan is to explore the island and exploring the nearby islands.
That evening we will have a PotLuck Supper and then games and stories abound the campfire.
If you have any idea's on things that we would like to do while out hear please let me know.
I am told that parking may be an issue on isleboro so if possible please car pool over if possible
