Geocache Description:

The cache is located in the northern section of Grant Woods Forest Preserve which is open 6:30 am to dusk. Parking available at N42 24.880 w088 07.183. Trail is hard-packed stone & gravel appropriate for hiking/biking; however, bushwacking WILL be involved to find the cache. Beware the thorns!!

OK...How many of you can relate?

You receive a text, email, or call from a friend...there's a cache out there!! You're in the middle of something/anything but you immediately go into geocache mode. Adrenaline starts pumping, palms get sweaty, fingers itchy, nose twitching, brain racing...how can I drop everything or rearrange my schedule so I can get out there to find it!! Nothing else matters until the search concludes...sometimes successfully...other times disappointingly unsuccessfully. If you don't find it you don't give up!! You use your lifelines...read and reread the listing, phone a friend, peruse other logs trying to glean another clue. You go back...sometimes time and time again, until you do find it. All for the sake of saying you discovered something and traded things that most people wouldn't give a second thought about...trinkets, TB's, and geocoins. Later, each time you pass the location of the cache you think silently to yourself..."I know a secret...there's a cache in there and most people don't know about it!"

At any stage of this game you may have thought to yourself "geocaching has driven you batty." If it hasn't, perhaps you can identify with some (or all) of the above and now realize that like me...Caching Can (and at times does) Drive you Batty!!

I confess, before I started geocaching I had a life...since I started caching, Geocaching IS my life!! I think of little else so yes...caching has driven me Batty!!

Tell me how geocaching has changed you and/or your life in your log. Am I the only Bat in the belfry?
