The situation:
I know of no other way other than canoe, kayak, jon-boat, inner-tube or long distance swimming to reach the cache. -on second thought... forget the inner tube and swimming suggestions - cp 3-02
The twist:
The coordinates given are for where you should beach the boat. From there you need to take a bearing of 259 degrees (true) and follow that track for approx. 85 feet to the cache.
The river:
This section of the Greenbrier is relatively gentle. HOWEVER, I have seen it at times of higher water when it could get a bit difficult for the unexperienced. Please use common sense. Only go after this cache during normal water levels.
This is one of the premier smallmouth bass fisheries in the state so bring your pole!
Miscellaneous:
I will not give coordinates for launch or take out sites, as this is part of the difficulty. Should be easy enough to figure out.
There are campgrounds in the immediate area and one does rent canoes, if you are not a boat owner.
For the multi-enthusiast:
There are also caves in the immediate area. One you should float past is known as 'Windy Mouth.' I do not have the coords for this but if you want to explore, it shouldn't be hard to find.
