Kyyttö - Eastern Finncattle / Kajaani Traditional Geocache

Tämän kätkön läheisyydessä on kesäisin mahdollista nähdä eräs uhanalainen eläin, kyyttö.

Kyyttö, eli itäsuomenkarja, on suomalainen maatiaiskarja. Kyyttö on nykyisin uhanalainen nautarotu, jonka edustajia on jäljellä enää vain noin 400.

Läheisyydessä sijaitsee myös Kainuun ammattiopiston Seppälän toimipiste, jossa voi opiskella vaikka luonnonvara-alaa. Puutarhamyymälässä kannattaa vierailla.

During summertime it is possible to see an endangered specie near this cache.

Eastern Finncattle are a breed of cattle from eastern Finland. “Kyyttö” in finnish are nowa-days an endangered species, only circa 400 are left.

Near the cache is Kainuu vocational college, where you can study natural resources and the environment sector, for example agriculture.

Eastern Finncattles are usually released to the field in the early June (for example 3.6.2009)
