Geocache Description:

On U.S. route 52. Should be an easy find Coords were shot with an accuracy of 8 feet with 400 readings.

In the years between the roaring twenties and the mid forties, and before Interstate 81 was built, U.S. Route 52 was the main thoroughfare through the Walker Mountain area of southwest Virginia.

Along with the numerous gas stations, eateries, and motels, there was a little bordello which has been omitted from the local history.

The establishment consisted of small duplex cabins located right alongside U.S. route 52.

As Konnarock Kid related the story of this establishment to me, I couldn't help noticing that far-away look of nostalgia in his eye.

At least four of the cabins are still standing and are in surprisingly good repair.

The cache is a three inch round lock & lock with room for small tradables such as coins, and pins ETC, but bring your own writing instrument.
