Peruskätkö Kittilän kirkonkylän Kiviniemessä.
A small cache in Kittilä´s Kiviniemi.
Kätkö sijaitsee Ounasjoen ja siitä johdetun kanavan välimaastossa. Kun seisoo Kiviniemen pohjoiskärjessä, näkee hyvin pohjoisen suunnalla Levi-tunturin ja luoteen puolella näkyy ns. "Kirkkojärvi", patoallas, joka on pengerretty Aakennusjoen suualueelle.
Keväisin tulvien aikaan kätkölle on vaikea päästä mikäli vesi on niin korkealla että tieyhteys niemeen on poikki. Liitteenä kuva vuoden 2005 suurtulvasta S-marketin kohdalta otettuna.
Kätkö sisältää lokikirjan, kätkötiedotteen ja kynän sekä kumin. Kätkön läheisyydessä on myös laavu, josta löytyy tulentekovälineet.
A cache lie between River Ounas and a canal. When you stand in the north point of Kiviniemi you can see Levi in the north and so called "Church Lake", a basin, in the northwest.
In the spring time it might be very difficult to reach the cache, because of the floods. Then the road connection to the cape might be through. You can see from the attachment picture S-market´s yard under the Grand Flood of Kittilä in year 2005.
A cache contains log book, cache briefing, a pen and gum. Nearby the cache there is a lean-to and some wood for making a campfire.
