Geocache Description:

Small plastic box on the summit wrapped in grey duct tape.

Chim chiminey, Chim chiminey, Chim chim cher-oo!
Good luck will rub off when I shake hands with you
or blow me a kiss and that's lucky too!
Up where the smoke is all billered and curled
'Tween pavement and stars is the chimney sweep world - -
Up where the air is clear and the Huckleberries grow,
with my GPSr and TB's, that is the Geocacher’s world!

***SERIOUSLY*** Cute song, but this is a very remote area with limited access, BE PREPARED! This cache should be named "YIKES, long pack in, difficult climb, and lots to watch out for!" With that said - - TOTALLY AMAZING PLACE AND EXPERIENCE! If you get the chance, please check it out.

This cache is on the summit of Chimney Rock. In 7/05 Moun10Bike placed a cache at the base of the rock (see Chimney Rock Cache GCPXBH). There is a bunch of data at that cache listing on the area and access. You have the option of approaching along Horton Ridge from the Priest Lake side, or coming in up Pack River from the East. This can be done in a long day, or you can camp and spend an evening in the beautiful Selkirk wilderness.

Once at the rock this is a TECHNICAL ROCK CLIMB! Because rock gear, climbing experience and route knowledge is needed I am not going to provide much more info on this cache. If you are a climber you will know how to find route information and have the gear needed to access the cache. If not, please find someone who can show you safely to the top. This is remote mountain wilderness and you must be prepared for fast changing weather conditions. (If you need guidebook recommendations, please email me)***Please take into consideration how remote this area is and be safe and prepared!

This area is very rich in geocaching history...the oldest cache in Idaho is also located near here (GC25). Thanks Moun10Bike and others for the leading the way. If you have not cached in this area, you should take some extra time and check out some of the classic caches around!
