Peruskätkö Siliävuoren laella, lähellä näkötornia.
Traditional cache on top of Siliävuori, near the observation
tower.
Perinteismuotoinen kätköpurkki noin 90m merenpinnasta. Kätkö
sijaitsee lähellä Siliävuoren näkötornia, joten kiipeämisen
päätteeksi voit halutessasi kiivetä hieman lisää ja katsella
tornista avautuvia näkymiä. Varovaisuutta kannattaa toki liikkuessa
noudattaa, märkä kallio voi olla liukas.
Autolla saavuttaessa mäen alla on Vehkarinteen leirikeskuksen
puomi, näkötornille pääsee puomin oikealta puolelta menevää tietä.
Mäen päällä on selkeä pysäköintipaikka ja polku Siliävuorelle
lähtee aivan parkkipaikan vierestä. Käveltävää kertyy alle 300m,
mutta korkeusero on noin 40m.
Kätkö on kooltaan noin 6dl ja sisältää perusvälineet: tiedote,
logikirja, kynä ja teroitin. Jätäthän purkin piiloutuneeksi niin
kuin se oli aiemminkin, eli huolellisesti niin pitkälle kuin on
tilaa. Talvella kätkö peittyy lumeen, jos sitä on runsaasti, mutta
vähällä lumella pitäisi olla löydettävissä.
Huom! Kätkön esiin saamiseksi ei tarvitse siirtää mitään, toivonkin
ettei esim. kiviä siirretä, jotta purkki pysyy piilossa.
The cache is located at 90m altitude, near the observation tower of
Siliävuori. So if you like to climb up some steps too, you can go
and see the great view frow the tower. It is recommended to be
careful with the hike, the rock may be surprisingly slippery when
it is wet.
When you arrive, there is a bar under the hill, it may be also
open, but even so, take the road right side of the bar. At the top
of the hill there is a parking place and right next to it is the
beginning of the trail going to the Siliävuori. The hike to the
cache is less than 300 meters, but the difference of altitude is
about 40 meters.
The size of the cache is about 0.6 litres. Inside the cache there
is the basic equipment: note, log book, pencil and sharpener.
Please leave the cache hidden as it was before; put the cache
carefully back as far as it goes. If there is plenty of snow in the
winter, the cache will be hard to find, but with small amount of
snow the cache should be able to be found.
Notice! It is not necessary to move anything to reach the cache so
please do not move e.g. rocks to make sure that the cache is
properly hidden.
