Geocache Description:

The cache is not located at the above coordinates. However, they will bring you to a set of headstones that should be very helpful. The “Mother Goose” rhyme will also provide some clues.

The cache is located at
North 42° HA.JJH
West 071° J(C+B).DEJ

Old Mother Goose,
AKA Elizabeth Vergoose,
Used to come here 250 years ago.
She could have rubbed elbows
With a few other fellows
Many of whom you should probably know

Ben Franklin was here
When it looked quite austere
And called the Cedar Meeting House.
Then it was replaced
With another just as chaste
Renamed the Old South Meeting House.

Then Samuel Adams got mad
Because taxes were bad
And he called the Sons of Liberty to Old South.
The meeting got hearty
With yells for a Tea Party
When Indian war-whoops came from a mouth.

The rhymes could keep coming
But you might be succumbing
To angst to get started on your chase.
So follow the clues
And enjoy the views
Outside and inside this historic place.

Originally located at Washington and Milk Streets (where the former building is now the Old South Meeting House Museum) this Northern Italian Gothic building was finished in 1875. Other famous figures associated with this place include William Dawes who rode with Paul Revere to warn of the British coming on that famous night in 1775; Phillis Wheatley, the first published African American woman; and Samuel Sewell, who wrote the first anti-slavery tract in America.

Please respect this historic building and refrain from active searching when it is in use (you’ll know it when you arrive!). This cache is hidden with encouragement and permission from the owners.

Answer the following questions to find
North 42° HA.JJH
West 071° J(C+B).DEJ

Ann Quinsey died when she was AB?
Joshua Scottow died in the year CDEFG?
Mother Goose rubbed elbows over HIJ years ago?

You are looking for a micro container hidden outside which contains a waterproof paper log. You may need the hint if you have trouble locking onto a location.

For an added bonus you may claim a second find for this cache if you venture inside and find the small cache container hidden in the main room at seat DB. It has room for small trade items and travel bugs.

The building is open seven days a week (except for national holidays) from:
• 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. or later on Regular Weekdays
• 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Saturdays and
• 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sundays.

At seat DB you are looking for a metal cookie container, held in place by magnets, in plain sight (from the right angle). Push from the top, or pull from the bottom, to dislodge the cache.

You will not see the magnets as they are secured to the seat and not the cache container. Be sure to replace the cache carefully, in the corner, so all the magnets are in contact with the edge of the container. If it doesn't seem to fit make sure the top is all the way on and try shifting the nearby "objects."

Please search with care as this is a historic building.
