Geocache Description:

This cache is dedicated to the memory of a lost friend of our family and is a companion cache to GC1B8RR Sassy's Memorial Cache.

On July 24, 2008 we lost Max to cancer. Max was the third of our original three cats we owned and the last to pass. Snickers passed prior to us getting involved in caching and Sassy has her own memorial cache as listed above.

As with Sassy I dont want this to be a sad memorial but rather a special memory. So with that said my favorite story about Max is actually how he came to our house. We were looking for a new cat since we recently moved into a home and no longer in an apartment. We had gone to the Waukesha Humane Society to look at kittens and decided on two to look at, Max was not one of the two, but he would soon pick us.

The Humane Society was busy that day and the quarters were slightly cramped back then. So as we left the area the cats were in my wife held the door open for others to enter that area. My wife suddenly looks over her shoulder at me and states "Stop that". I replied with a "what?" and after another moment she looks back at me again and states "You know what. That!!". I honestly had no idea what she meant but for some reason I looked down. I found a kitten paw stretched as far as physically possible swatting my wife on the behind.

We never looked at the other two kittens, Max was the only one we looked at.

We will always remember the first three to share our lives, and they have made quite an impact on our lives. Now me the self admitted dog person who is allergic to long haired cats and my wife have given a home to two new cats that Max got to meet in his last three months.

This is a two stage multi-The first is near a Animal motel that Max visited once before he past on, they liked him so much they wanted to keep him. It should be a simple find for any cacher. The final stage is a short distance away in a spot that I am sure Max would have loved to play had he ever been there
