Geocache Description:

Discover the long forgotten treasure of Captain Fleetwood, who, after a month long Illiad of cursed winds and heavy sea, stranded and starved on an unnamed island in the middle of Norrrway.

Recent research by renowned historians has identified the route of the "Bountiful Bounty", the ship of Captain Fleetwood to have ended on the island indicated by the hash. First surveys indicate that it may be reachable from land, or by boat.

Fleetwood having just stolen the royal silver from the treasuries of Havana, is believed to have hidden a massive treasure of silver coins on the island, just before his ultimate demise. The hoard should furthermore contain the logbook of the captain, shedding light onto the last days of the crew on that island.

The coordinates indicate a rough estimation of the scientists to the treasure. From there, look for any sign of civilization (especially if the sign is yellow, which was his favourite colour) and large rocks which are apt to hide a treasure and shelter it from bad weather.

Please leave an account of your expedition in the logbook on location, and on this website. Storytelling is strongly encouraged. Please log what treasures you have retrieved from (or deposited in) the hoard.

(For the historically interested: The final clue for the location of Captain Fleetwood was, that he apparently was unknowingly cursed by a mischievous wizard, to visit random locations on the globe. Using the website (visit link) researchers have been able to identify his latest destination. And despite the high improbability that a Carribean Pirate might end up in Norway, the circumstantial evidence is striking enough to justify this expedition.)
