Poppop's Cache Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

OReviewer: As there's been no cache to find for a long time or has had no owner response for at least 30 days, I'm archiving it to keep it from showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements.

Please note that if geocaches are archived by a reviewer or Geocaching HQ for lack of maintenance, they are not eligible for unarchival.

Geocache Description:

This cache is in rememberance of my Poppop (1933-2004)

He has had many adventues over the course of his life. I don't have nearly enough room to tell you about everything, but here are some of the things he did.

He was an airforce police corporal in the U.S airforce. During that time he was able to see Japan and Korea. He loved to tell me stories of the people he met and the sights he saw.

He was a NJ city policeman for a number of years. he even apprehended a bank robber!

He worked at Resorts Casino in Atlantic City as a security guard. He met quite a few movie stars during his career. After he retired he still really enjoied playing card games with anyone. I guess I learned from the best :)

One thing I remember well about him was his laugh. He had a laugh that would fill a room and make anyone smile. He was always a very happy person.

He loved bird watching and just about anything that had nature involved. He would have LOVED to hear my stories about geocaching. If I saw or heard a bird that I couldn't identify I would just tell him and he always knew what bird it was.

The cache is a large ammo can on private properts with permission from the owner, please be respectful of the land. It should be very easy to find, but is not easily seen from the road. It may be a little more tough in the summer because of the undergrowth. Please rehide as found.
