The cache is located in Sheringham Pretty Corner woods, between Hilltop Outdoor Centre and Anglian Water treatment works. The track is mainly dry mud with occasional muddy patches in bad weather; there is a very short moderately-steep uphill section too but this shouldn't pose a challenge for most. The path is not suitable for pushchairs or wheelchair users, unless they like offroading!
We were surprised to find that the peaceful Pretty Corner woods didn't already have a geocache in it, so we decided to hide one. Named after the nearby Hilltop Outdoor Centre, this cache is set in a small wood, about 10m down a short track off one of the main paths, near a bench. The cache itself is a small clear unmarked clip-lid box. When hidden (back in 2009), the cache contained: • Log book and pencil • Tiger balm • Ornamental flower • Tigger toy • Kazoo • Wooden dragon figure • Prostate cancer wristband • "Mr Happy" tractor and • 2x water absorbent dessicant packs • Cache note There is limited parking near Anglian Water (the entrance to the woods) available for this cache at N52°55.899' E1°12.874' and the cache is a short walk (less than 1 mile) from there. It is advisable to get a satellite lock with your GPS before entering the woods as it can be difficult to get a reliable lock under the tree cover (even in winter). Congratulations to Ascenders for their FTF of the cache, less than 12 hours after it was published! This is our first cache, hopefully the first of many :) Good luck, happy caching!
