The 3 Elves: Not only is the cache gone but the whole structure that contained the cache is gone. [:(] This was one of our favorite hides. There is a pretty good chance that this hide will reappear somewhere else…..maybe on our anniversary. [;)] Thanks for coming!!

We placed this cache to commemorate our one year anniversary of GeoCaching.
It is somewhat of a funny story of how we discovered GeoCaching. We were at a Polk County Conservation day of winter fun activities at Chichaqua that Mrs Elf insisted we attend. There were several events that we participated in such as ice fishing, cross-country skiing, and a dog sledding demonstration. After a long day, we were tired and getting ready to go home. Just as we were leaving, Mrs Elf said, “Hey, let’s try one more thing. Why don’t we do this GeoHike.” Mr Elf’s response, “I don’t want to go on a hike and look for rocks. Let’s go home!” Fortunately, Mrs Elf persisted, Mr Elf caved and we are now obsessed.
We are truly grateful to have discovered GeoCaching and sincerely thankful for all of the fellow cachers we have met over the past year.
