While out and about in this part of George Bush Park caching off and on over the past several weeks, we thought it might be a good idea to explore a bit here and put out a few caches. After placing a few caches along the berms, we decided to go across a small river and place a few more. Getting across the river without just slogging through it and getting soaked was a bit of a challenge.
We really did not use rhyme or reason when placing these caches. There aren't a lot of trails and the area is wet and swampy in some places, and has a lot of thorn bushes in others. That being said, you can hike to the cache in a pretty short time as long as you are properly dressed and prepared.
The cache itself is a small, camo'ed tupperware container and once you make it to the cache location should be fairly easy to grab.
The terrain is set at 4 because there are a lot of thorns and brush in the way as well as some water. The degree to which water is an issue will depend on recent rain activity, so please be prepared.
We hope you enjoy this short but challenging hike to these caches!
